The illusion of economic stability convinced most people that the great economic crisis of 2008 was exceeded. The truth is that it’s just beginning, and the next wave of crisis is very close. Europe is experiencing economic depression and is only a matter of time before the U.S. will follow.

Unemployment rate at high alert

In Italy it rose to peak last 21 years, while in Greece reached 27%. More worrying is the unemployment rate among young people under 25 years: in Greece and Spain is close to 60% and in Italy and Portugal is 40%.

Jobs crisis is a direct consequence of the global crisis of 2008 and may generate a political crisis. In general for each unemployed person three people have to suffer. For the euro area the real test is not the debt crisis, but how to avoid the consequences of high unemployment.

Exclusive: North Korea tells China of preparations for fresh nuclear test – source

China - North Korea(Reuters) – North Korea has told its key ally, China, that it is prepared to stage one or even two more nuclear tests this year in an effort to force the United States into diplomatic talks, said a source with direct knowledge of the message.

Further tests could also be accompanied this year by another rocket launch, said the source, who has direct access to the top levels of government in both Beijing and Pyongyang. Continue reading

China and Japan engaged on Friday in a fresh round of invective over military movements near a disputed group of uninhabited islands, fuelling tension that for months has bedeviled relations between the Asian powers.

An increasingly muscular China has been repeatedly at odds with others in the region over rival claims to small clusters of islands, most recently with fellow economic giant Japan which accused a Chinese navy vessel of locking radar normally used to aim weapons on a Japanese naval ship in the East China Sea. China Lies Says Eaton CEO: Economy Grew Only 3-4% In 2012

China’s official 7.8 percent economic growth for 2012 may have overstated expansion by twice the real rate, and is only now headed for a “legitimate” 8 percent gain, Eaton Corp. Chief Executive Officer Sandy Cutler said.

Based on indicators such as consumer consumption and electric power usage, China’s gross domestic product probably grew 3 percent to 4 percent last year, Cutler said yesterday in a telephone interview. Growth is accelerating now that China is past the distractions from its leadership change, he said. Continue reading
